Q: Waking from Hibernation issue
I am experiencing a problem with my late 2011 macbook pro (a1278). The computer enters and wakes from hibernation as it should except in the case that I plug it in before waking it from hibernation. If the computer is hibernated with the lid shut, and I connect the charger, I can hear the optical drive make a sound like it normally does when waking from hibernation or booting, but when I open the lid the screen is black (no backlight). Pressing the power button, waiting, and closing and opening the lid do nothing once this happens, to resolve the issue I have to hold down the power button to reset the SMC and then press the power button to reboot the computer. I am guessing it is related to the hibernation configurations for battery vs ac power; I have messed with the pmset settings with Terminal before so I'm guessing the issue lies there.
MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5)
