FCPX Trial

Hello,

I am a rising junior in high school and I have been using FCPX in my A/V class this past year. Now that I am out of school for the summer I don't have any access to it for free. I downloaded the free trial right before school let out and then we had a really long process of moving that was unexpected. Long story short, I didn't have much of a chance to use it and I was working on 2 separate projects. Now that the trial has ended my dad said I have to wait another month to buy it, so I was wondering if anyone knew how to restart my trial or get an extra 30 day free trial? I really enjoy video editing and would like to work on it over the summer.

Spend the next four weeks with 'paper editing' your projects, imagine new projects. study the manual, watch the hundreds of free tutorials from rippletraining - and first of all: enjoy the summer, go outside, meet friends (in real life), forgot your Mac....-

And just 28d left to find out an exceptional ThankYou for your Dad for his very gracious gift he will make you ....

(yep, a Dad of a teenage kid speaking here .... 🙂 )

Hey there, Karsten. I would like to clarify that I was not asking for illegal advice on cheating apple out of money, I was asking if anyone knew a way to contact Apple so that they can restart my trial or something along those lines. I love going outside with my friends and I go hiking quite a bit with my family and friends. I have a few friends who wanted to use FC on my Mac because they have Window PCs. So, I wasn't trying to make it seem like I was asking for some way to cheat Apple or anything, I would just love to pursue this, even possibly as a career, and get a little bit of a headstart before next year, that's all. Thank you for reading my question and I will make sure I find something for my parents to say thank you. 🙂

yeah, easy, ... but although your motifs are honorable, a trial is a trial, no replacement for the real deal, no excuses, no exceptions, no mercy ..... Adobe offers seven days for trial, so 30d is generous.

The request about prolonging that period, for all colorful sorts of reasons, comes up frequently, so my reply wasn't a 100% adressed just for you ... And you're priviledged, a school with Macs & FCPX, your family with a Mac and soon a 300$ beast of software - so, by all good intentions... what are four weeks waiting?

And in 20 years, while receiving your first Oscar, you'll mention in your speech that grumpy ol' Kraut on some board, who told you "go out and learn!!" 😝

There is one way you could possibly get another 30 days free trial but you will need another Mac.

If you have access to another Mac in your house, you should be able to download the trial again and use it on that machine.

P.S. I am sure Karsten was joking as I didn't see anything amiss in your query for an extension to the 30 days.

I thought so but would just like to clear things up in case he wasn't just messing around.

Move it from the Applications folder into the Trash, download again, and promise you will purchase it soon.
