Q: OS Bug 10.10.x - Finder Crash

Hi There

This one's been "bugging" me for a while now, we running a MacPro server with 10.11.5 and the latest server app. The client machines mostly still on 10.10.5

What I've noticed, mostly later in the day that the AFP service on the server spikes to 900% CPU and would run at a constant 900%. I've done some searching and looking around on the forums and found a lot of  articles suggesting "tweaking" the AFP service among some solutions but found that the issue was not with the server.. It would seem that client machines is to blame, the Finder / Dock service on the machines starts "crashing" through out the day and being connected to the server causes the server to go into over drive.

Figured this out by killing the Finder & Dock process on all the machine on our network when the AFP service was at 900% which after the command executed dropped back down to 90%

I've started the process of upgrading all the client machines to 10.11.5 hopefully this resolves the issue.

Regards

Donovan
