Q: Need IMessage help
WE are slowly becoming fully Apple users, as we have two IPads, and now each has an IPhone5c. What I need to know is how do I remove my phone number from his IPad and insert his number, so he receives HIS iMessages, not mine. And vice versa.
I am the Apple ID on both IPads, but we each have seperate IDs on the phones.
am confused, as I tried to change the numbers, and it would not let me do it. Any hints greatefully welcomed!

You should each just use your own AppleID on your own devices. So your partner should sign out of iMessage, FaceTime and iCloud with your AppleID on his iPad and then sign back in with his own AppleID that he uses on his iPhone.
Each service on each device will be associated with the AppleID used to login, so if you use a different AppleID on different devices, then you are also using different accounts for each of those services. To keep your own emails, messages, contacts, notes, documents, backups and so forth separate and distinct, you should each only use your own AppleID for all services on your own devices.
If you wish to share purchased items between each other, then look into using family sharing - Set up Family Sharing - Apple Support
