Q: Install OS X External Hard Drive?

I'm confused by when they say Install OS X External Hard Drive. Does that mean after installing it onto the hard drive it's like a second Mac on the external hard drive that I can boot up whenever it's plugged in on a computer. Like an iMac-to-Go if you get what I mean?

If you get that comparison, yes. You can install OS X on an external drive, so you have a copy that you can use with any Mac just by plugging the external drive and booting from it. Note that the Mac you plug the external drive into must be compatible with the OS X version installed.

(Please note that this will not work if you want to use OS X on a non-Apple computer. That only works if you use it on a Mac).
