Duplicate "steps" data in Health

I have 3 devices able to write "steps" in Health. From "All recorded data" dashboard I can see the different sources in the different time of the day according to devices availability (When multiple sources are available, one data source will be chosen based on the priority order).

For my understanding Health is summing all these data...BUT...how does HEALT detect a data overlap? Time data? Which kind of time data: start, end, range?

What if my Bluetooth steps tracker is communicating data just few times a day with an average amount of 300/400 steps per time (recording a very small time range)? Will HEALTH add those data to my Apple Watch steps, duplicate some "steps"?

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2, null
