iPhone 4s charging cable fake or real?

Hello community, recently my charging / data cable got a defect so I bought a new one via ebay. It is stated that it's a new and original Apple product, just without original case. However, I found out that there are a lot copies out there. Now I'm worried that I'm using a fake copy that might damage my beloved old iPhone 4s that I like to take with me when I need something small but want to be reachable. On the Apple site it is only an explanation for a lightning cable [ https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT204566 ] and a video which has only a comparison between a lightning cable and a 30pol cable (for iPhone 4sm iPad.. etc.) [ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETo1LC7NH1A ] the cable I have as exactly the same specification like the ones in the video. the printed label is closer to the USB , the writing is from left side "Designed by Apple Made in China" ( no serial no.) and not from right side and further away. Is there a way to tell that this is a fake or original? The material on the USB does look cheaper than it should. Unfortunately I do not have my old cable to compare since I threw it away. :c

Hi Carrotkitty,

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

Based on your post, it looks like you've purchased a replacement charging cable for your iPhone, and you'd like to make sure that the charging cable is a certified Apple accessory. I once had to purchase an extra cable, so I can definitely partner with you and help find the best resolution.

Apple recommends using only accessories that Apple has certified and that come with the "Made for iPod/iPhone/iPad" logo. Please use the resources below and make sure that your charging cable has been certified by the developer to meet Apple performance standards:

Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories

Additionally, charging cables are available for purchase on our online store's website.

Have a great day!

Unfortuantely you did not fully read my text. as I already stated that I checked the website and a video but here a lighting cable is compared to a 30pin charger and I do not know if the specifications are the same on every charging cable! That is exactly my problem why I do not know if it's a counterfeit or not! And I need somebody to tell me if the branding "Designed by Apple Made in China" are similar on both cables! I can not recognize it due to pins or whatever!

On the cable itself is written "Designed by Apple Made in China". However it is written mirrored (the direction is different from the lighting cable that is shown on this link Identify counterfeit or uncertified Lightning connector accessories . The cable did not come in a package, but in a plastic wrap. On the seller page it is stated as "original" but since there are so many similarities that are shown in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETo1LC7NH1A I'm insecure and unsure about the "original"
