Q: iOS needs a feature

I think you should use the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page and send Apple feedback. This is a user forum. Apple is not here.

Why would I want notifications that I can't see? I don't get it.

If you do not wish to see the notifications for these apps on the lock screen, then turn them off for lock screen. Simple as that. Don't need an additional feature, it is already there.
