Q: My keynote is up to date, yet it won't open a file I created in that version. Help!

I am updated to the latest version, I did this on May 16.  I have a file I edited in Keynote on June 18, and now it says I need to update.  There are no updates.  I have checked the version, it matches the app store.  I have looked for a duplicate copy of keynote, there is no older version that I can find to open.  I have tried every available thing on the internet.

Thoughts/comments/solutions are very appreciated!

Thank you!

    Hello,

What is currently displayed when you Right-Click or Control-Click on your Keynote file?

I would recommend verifying that the file isn't trying to open in another application or version by default.

If your Keynote file is trying to open in a different application, you can modify the 'Open with:' preference by Right-Clicking or Control-Clicking on the Keynote file and selecting 'Get Info'

From there you can specify what application should be used to open that file.

Hopefully this helps answer your question, if it does not I will be monitoring this post and will follow up with you if requested.
