Jun 27, 2016 4:14 PM in response to Jake Wherryby Phil0124,Either monitor will work. The only note here is that the Mac Pro cannot produce the max resolution these monitors can support. But they should support resolutions below their maximum just fine.

Servers EnterpriseBareFeats have just done a test which includes using a classic Mac Pro and an Nvidia GTX 980Ti video card with a 34" ultra wide display. Obviously this means it worked.

It maybe the original video card is incapable of driving such a monitor but clearly the GTX 980Ti can and I would think the standard GTX 980 as well. Possibly the 970 and the 960 may do so as well.
