Prohibited sign when trying to boot os x after bootcamp install

HI everyone, so I was all chuffed with myself after I got windows 10 installed on my new machine via bootcamp. But now it seems I can't actually boot os x as I get the prohibited symbol. What should I do?! Thanks in advance

First, boot from the Recovery HD and determine if you still have an OS X partition. You may have unwittingly destroyed it when formatting the Windows volume. If you do still have one then do the following:

Installing or Reinstalling OS X on a Mac

  1. How to install or reinstall OS X on your Mac.
  2. Upgrade to OS X El Capitan.
  3. How to Perform a Clean Install of OS X El Capitan on Your Mac.

The above are Apple links to articles for installing or reinstalling OS X.
