USB-C port - do cables 'click' in?

I think that there's something "not right" with the USB-C port on my MacBook. When I plug a USB-C cable into it, the connection feels loose, and there's no "click" upon full insertion like there is with my Apple multiport adapter, or 29W power supply. Just wanted to ask other MacBook owners how their ports behaved before I make the hour drive to the nearest Apple store.

MacBook (Retina, 12-inch, Early 2016), OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), 1.3GHz m7 / 8GB RAM / 256GB SSD

AFAIK, there is no clicking feature on either end.

Hello marinerblue,

i have tested some cables. The one from the original Apple Power Plug let me feel a noticeable click (both ends). The cable from the minix USB-C Multiport adapter doesn't have this click. I think it depends on the cable, not on the MacBook. Did you try the original Apple Power cable? There has to be a click.
