I have some songs on my iTunes that I would like to make into ringtones for my phone. I cannot figure out how to do this. How would I be able to use my music on my iTunes for ringtones for my phone?

You can't do that with Apple Music, that's the problem! Apple Music doesn't allow you to use the ringtone creation apps or follow the process from your link.
