Q: Old ID (iCloud) & music sync problems

Summary:
- Cannot remove content from iPod
- Syncs all cleared to 0
- Tried manual on and off
- Wifi sync turned off
- No cloud backup
- Even tried deleting all content from iTunes and it still remained on device
- Cannot reset iPod as invalid ID is logged into iCloud, password unknown
- Correct ID is logged into iTunes
- Tried changing email of current ID and logging out, but can't change email without code sent to that address (address no longer exists)
- Also cannot retrieve or reset password of invalid account as email address no longer exists
Is anyone able to advise how I can:
- Get rid of the invalid ID from my ipod (iCloud account)
- Clear content from a device if iTunes is blank and nothing is synced
Seem to have tried all the popular options and after hours of trying to fix this I'm at my wit's end!
