Q: Verification failed repeatedly

I Have an iPad that is uptodate.  I am logged into the apple with my id and apple Password.  But if I try to update my apps, I receive the certification failed -there was an error connecting to the apple id server.   the password and the same ID -I only have one ID -  that I just used to logon to apple.  I read on this site about setting the fate and time to auto and that is done.  Still does not work.  My connection is working okay.  So what is the problem?   Thanks.

iPad 2, iOS 9.3.2, (13F691).

    Hello there, Far-is!

Thanks for reaching out to the Apple Support Communities! I know how important it is to be able to connect to the iTunes Store on your iPad. I would suggest checking out this article with steps for If you can’t connect to the iTunes Store. Since you checked the date and time, you can go directly to step 2 and continue.

Fix the issue on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If you can't connect to the iTunes Store on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, make sure:

    1. That your date, time, and time zone are correct. Tap Settings > General > Date & Time. Time Zone might list another city in your time zone.
    2. That your iOS software is up to date. To check for updates, tap Settings > General > Software Update. You can also connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iTunes and click Check for Update on your device's Summary page.
    3. To check that you're in range of a Wi-Fi router or base station. If you're using cellular service, make sure that cellular data is turned on from Settings > Cellular. If you're connected to cellular data, larger items might not download. You might need to connect to Wi-Fi to download apps, videos, and podcasts.
    4. That you have an active Internet connection. For help with your connection, check your device's user guide.
    5. To see if other devices, like portable computers, can connect to the Wi-Fi network and access the Internet.
    6. To reset your Wi-Fi router by turning it off and then on again.

Also, once you've tried those steps, try Resetting the Network Settings. You can do this by going to Settings> General> Reset and then tap Reset Network Settings. Just keep in mind this will not remove your personal contacts, photos, music, or other information. It will remove any Wi-Fi and VPN settings so you'll need to be sure you have those settings and password available to add them back once the phone is reset.

    Cheers!

I am connected to the company Internet and can access other sites.   I have logged into apple to reply to this reply and Apple ID and Apple password both work.  All the points above are current  (per apple update screen check).   I tried to reset the network and it asked for my apple password the first thing. But still receive the same error message 'unable to connect to Apple ID server".  I am at work and can't check home network until tonight.  But I was getting the same error at both sites.  So not fixed. Thanks for the info but didn't work.
