Q: Can't download Aperture

I just got my rMBP running on 10.11, I can't download Aperture from my purchase tab.. it's says "Open", I've tried to log out and log in but no luck. Any idea?

If you are seeing "Open" you have a version of Aperture  installed. Then it is not possible to get to "Install".

 

Drag your incompatible Aperture.app from the Applications folder to the Trash (but don't empty the Trash).

Eject all backup drives, if there may be another copy of Aperture backed up.  Then restart the App Store. The button should now be showing "Install".

 

Click "Install". Spotlight must not see Aperture installed anywhere, otherwise it will show "Open".
