Exporting videos that were shot in 2.7k to youtube?

Hi, I recently edited a video that was shot in 2.7k. Now I'm fairly new to FCPX so I don't know all the ins and outs. Now when I went to export, the file opened up in quicktime, but the size of the video was small, even when I made quicktime full screen. I tried uploading to youtube, and the video is very small. It doesn't fill up the whole page on youtube. The quality is also not very good when watching it in youtube. Any suggestions or helpful tips?

Yes, that sounds familiar. When I originally imported the files, i selected proxy media. At first when I tried using the original media, it wasn't very smooth and it was very hard to edit. I ready that using proxy would make editing a lot easier and it did. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, and if theres a way to export getting a normal size as the final result. Also, Why was it very "glitchy" when editing with the original "optimized" media.

Your project has a 4:3 aspect ratio - not normal in HD material or larger.

The dimensions are wrong for 2.7K. You probably let it be automatically chosen based on the first clip added.

Your problem does not seem to have anything to do with using proxy or not.

If you want the project at the frame size you now have, the simplest solution is probably to set the Spatial Conform to Fill. Try that and let us know.

If you want a real 2.7K, create a new project, set the resolution to Custom and enter the right values (2716x1524, I believe, but I haven't used 2.7K).

Then go to the old project, Select All, Copy; and Paste to the new one.
