Q: Upload exiting music to iTunes match

Jun 28, 2016 6:58 PMby Phil0124,iTunes Match does not upload music from iOS devices. Only from the iTunes library on a computer. Purchasing iTunes match from the iPad would have made no difference.

If the music on the iPad is not on the computer (it should be, as cd music must have been synced from a computer to the iPad) then you'll need to to extract it from the iPad onto the computer so it can be uploaded to iTunes Match.
Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device
It is strongly recommended that the iPad never be the only place your Music resides. Your iTunes Library on your computer should always be the master library and contain everything, and be backed up.
