Q: transferring contact details from old iPhone to new

I have recently purchased an iPhone SE and need to transfer contact details from the old iPhone. I have tried going onto iCloud but the old phone does not show up there. I have tried itunes, but I can't see anything on it but advertisements for more apple products. Can someone please help?

iPhone SE, iOS 9.3.2, with iPhone 4S

Hi Carolyn. Thanks for the link. I've already been there, however. The problem is, I can't access iCloud on my old 4S. To transfer data using iTunes, it seems I need the latest version of iTunes, and I can't get that because my 4S can not sustain or download IOS 9.3.2 (I've tried).

You have the latest version of iTunes installed on your computer?

Mac
Open iTunes.
From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose iTunes > Check for Updates.
Follow the prompts to install the latest version.
Windows
Open iTunes.
From the menu bar at the top of the iTunes window, choose Help > Check for Updates. Learn what to do if you can’t see the menu bar.
