Q: updates

I just upgraded to os 10.11 from os 10.7. Updates of applications is now through app store it seems. I can't figure out how to select which apps to automatically check for updates for and which not. So, where do you do that?

MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.5)

Automatic updates settings are in System Preferences -> App Store.  Currently there's no options to individually select which apps to have automatically update.  If you're worried about an update causing an issue setup Time Machine so you can restore a previous version of the app.
