Jun 29, 2016 6:01 AM in response to minimac51by QuickTimeKirk,★HelpfulOpen QuickTime Player 7 and then open the About QuickTime Player 7 under its menu.
The big blue Q icon should have the word Pro on its left side.

Jun 29, 2016 6:04 AM in response to QuickTimeKirkby minimac51,I did has you instructed and there was not a big blue Q icon. Do these registration codes expire? I was entering the registration code off of an email
from 2011. Who do I contact with Apple to ask about this since it seems there is possibly something wrong with the code? Thank you.

Jun 29, 2016 7:29 AM in response to QuickTimeKirkby minimac51,Hi,
Yes, it finally seemed to register this morning. However, I used Quicktime 7 Pro to export an iMovies mov file to an MP4 file and sure saw a loss of quality.
Is there any other way to inexpensively export an iMovie or Quicktime file to an MP4?

Jun 29, 2016 7:34 AM in response to minimac51by QuickTimeKirk,Any time you export an already compressed file to a new file you're going to lose quality.
Why do you need to change from .mov to .mp4 in the first place?
I'll bet the codecs used in the .mov file are the same as those found in the new .mp4 version.
Just change the file extension from .mov to .mp4 and see if that works for you.
