Help iPod in disk mode

do a reset and it will put it back to normal.. PUSH AND HOLD the middle button and the menu button at the same time for 10 seconds.. it works best if hooked to power.

Try this:

Connect the iPod to your computer, leave it there for a few seconds, then disconnect it (without ejecting).

If you have an AC adaptor, or a car charger, try connecting then promptly disconnecting the iPod with those chargers, too.

Be sure to try this quite a few times if you aren't getting any response when only trying it several times.
