Carrier updates?

For two days I have been receiving messages on my iPhone 6s that my carrier has an update. This does not appear anywhere I can see under settings. The carrier, Consumer Cellular says it is an IOS update. Does this make sense to anyone else? This is not the same message I received earlier about updating my new iPhone 6s. HELP?

you might be able to see it under settings - cellular....


if you see a message about carrier update, that means its an update from consumer cellular.

Carrier updates are somewhat common (depends on your carrier). Sometimes these are mandatory. Carrier settings updates are small files that can include updates from Apple and your carrier to carrier-related settings, such as network, calling, cellular data, messaging, personal hotspot, and voicemail settings The following article explains all of your concerns and how to update:
