Hello bickshooter,

Thanks for that info and choosing the Apple Support Communities. I know how important being able to use Apple Music on your iPhone is to you!

Based on what you stated, it seems your current iPhone is on iOS 8.3. According to the info in About Apple Music, Apple Music requires iOS version 8.4 or newer, so you will need to backup and update your iPhone to work with Apple Music.

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Cheers!
