Q: manage storage

I have deleted 16,000 sent messages and 1000 photos from my Mac after being told my storage was almost full, and I am still being told it is full. I don't want to buy more storage. Any suggestions for how to manage storage more efficiently? Thanks!

Is your Mac an iPad or a Macbook or iMac? Perhaps you are being told you are almost out of iCloud Storage, in which case Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support will be the article you will want to follow.
