Most sites which require you to log in require that you have cookies enabled as that is how they recognize your device.

So, you have a choice: either enable cookies or have a problem with the sites not recognizing you.

I do not understand your question re. "impact of private browsing on the system". What system? The OS?

Turn Private Browsing on or off on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Private browsing alters the behavior of the browser, not the OS.

Besides not being able to log in private Browsing doesn't collect your Safari History.

My question would be why are you using Private Browsing ?

The AJW keeps track in a database of your travels... how else could it know if one had a thread with UNread messages in it? Plus, all posts are committed to posterity. Not a "private" kinda joint.

Speaking of "unlimited login"... the last time I visited ES-ASC was 21 hours ago = still logged in 😉 = it has been intermittently so ever since I began visiting there - one never knows.

I have also Quit the browser TWICE in that time! (quit clears the LoggedInTimerCookie)

Although they "look alike" - they do not "behave" the same.
