iTunes/iBook does not completely sync my 2-part audiobook

I have a two-part audio book in iTunes that I downloaded as an MP3 from Audible a few years ago. I've attempted to drag/drop the book into my phone (yes, I see a red 2 being dragged over) and I also clicked the box next to the book in the list under Sync Audiobooks in the phone settings in iTunes. All I see in iBooks on my iPhone 6 is the first part of the book. I have the latest update for the iOS. There is over 9GB of space available on the phone and the file not syncing is only 78MB.

iPhone 6, iOS 9.3.2

Hi GalenK,

It seems that you are having some issues syncing over a two-part audio book from iTunes on the computer to your iPhone. I use iBooks as well so I can understand your concern. I will be happy to provide some information for you.

The first thing we'd want to do is Get the latest version of iTunes, if you haven't already. After that, we'd want to close out of iTunes on the computer and restart both the iPhone and the computer and try to sync over the audio book again.

Here are some resource articles that go over syncing to the iPhone and iBooks.

Thanks for that information, GalenK. Sounds like there could be an issue with the file itself, for the second part of the audiobook. If you are able to, the next best step would be to re-download the file from Audible and try to sync it again. If you are unable to re-download the file, you can try some steps to rule out your phone being the reason the file will not sync. Back up the iPhone to iCloud or iTunes using the following article:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then restore your iPhone to factory settings and set up as new and then see if you are able to sync over the audiobook.

Use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

If you are still unable to sync over the audiobook, then you would want to go ahead and restore the iPhone from a backup.

Have a great day!
