Q: Is it safe to delete OSXRESERVED partition? because it is still there after windows 10 installation
I recently got a MacBook Pro 15" 2015 Retina model running MacOSX 10.11.5 El Capitan.
My steps for installing Windows 8.1:
Create a .ISO file from the DVD install disc and save the .ISO file to a USB Flash drive.
run bootcamp and direct the .ISO file location to the usb flash drive.
Partition the SSD
and then it reboot and the windows installer is on and i complete the Windows 8.1 installation
then the bootcamp drivers installer kicks in and installs the drivers
then it restarts and i upgrade tow Windows 10 afterwards and update the bootcamp drivers
Next I boot back to Mac OS X but the OSXRESERVED partition is still there.
And when i restart pressing the option key, i see 1 Macintosh HD but 2 Windows drives listed
Is it safe to delete the OSXRESERVED partition? I read online that deleting it will cause Windows 10 not to boot anymore.
Or should I just leave it alone?
MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.5), i7 2.5GHz,16GB RAM, Radeon M370X

i found the solution in another thread.
Loner T and doginpants helped me
and it works and i safely removed OSXRESERVED partition safely and everything works, and Windows 10 still works
and the 8GB space got reallocated back into my Macintosh HD partition.
Here is the thread with the solution:
