Activity App Lost all of my data

All of a sudden my Activity App erased all of my achievements, workouts and past data without provocation.

It won't even retain new activity as I wear my watch today.

I tried restoring from a backup with no success.

I am absolutely livid on how between these two devices, my iPhone and Apple Watch, I can't get my data back.

Apple Watch, iOS 9.3.2

Hi Jonathan, thanks for providing more info than the Customer Service person I talked to.

Any insight on how I would know if my phone backup is unencrypted? — I don't use my computer to sync my phone and resort to iCloud if that information helps. Also, when I referred to me attempting to "restore from backup" I was referencing my Apple Watch only. The APPLE customer service agent I talked to made no mention about doing the same on my phone.

Thanks

You're welcome!

iCloud backups of your iPhone are encrypted as standard, so they automatically include historic health and activity data.

Historic Activity app achievements are recorded in the Activity app on your iPhone. Unpairing and restoring your Apple Watch from backup would not have any effect on that historic Activity app data (prior to the present day) on your iPhone.
