two Apple ID accounts to join
I have ended up with two Apple ID accounts and NEED to join them. Does anyone know the procedure for this?

Apple ID accounts cannot be merged. Just don't use one account.

Apple also will not transfer the content from one Apple ID to another Apple ID. If you abandon an Apple ID, you also abandon any future updates or redownloads of the content* that was acquired (paid or free) with that Apple ID. And if is content you really want or need, it will have to be bought again using the Apple ID you choose to retain.
*Under some circumstances that content may become unavailable for use in the future.
