Q: Received invoice from "notify@appleid.apple.com" is it fake? It doesn't make any sense as I have not made any purchases.

I received the same email. When you click on 'cancel purchase' or something I think it goes onto the scammer's website via outlook. It is not genuine.

I think that one's Apple ID is not compromised, but the scammers got hold of the email address.

Just for the record, appleid.apple.com is a legitimate Apple email domain. However, in this case, the sender address was likely spoofed.

I received one at 5am saying I'd bought 3 games on an ipod touch (which I don't own).

I clicked the 'cancel purchases' on my iphone at first and it took me through youtube. Then when I opened it on my laptop it took me via Outlook to an 'Apple' page where they wanted my bank details. I only noticed something was wrong as the website didn't have the official padlock on the web address.

I received the same email this morning! Shame my email doesn't give away personality information. I'm more of a strategy game fan. Red Bull 4??? What jokers!
