Q: Imessage Problems

I can imessage contacts in my phone apart from one contact, this problem has only happened the last day or two.  It turns green to send as text message but the message is never received by the other person.  I can imessage other contacts though.  He can imessage me but not me him, nor does facetime work.

I've turned my imesssage on / off, re-boooted phone etc.  Any other suggestions?

iPhone 5, iOS 7.0.6

    Hey, Ronnie1234!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. I'm understanding that you're having trouble sending iMessages to one particular contact, but not receiving from them, and you're also having trouble using FaceTime with them. There could be a few different things happening, and I've got a few steps you can try in addition to your previous troubleshooting that might help. Try messaging your friends after each step, and stop troubleshooting when you can successfully send them a message.

    1. Make sure your iOS software is up to date. If you're not sure how to do that, you can use the following article.

Update the iOS software on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    2. Delete your friend's contact, then re-add it. You can get instructions on both deleting and adding contacts under the "Contacts at a glance" section of the iOS 9 for iPhone user manual linked below.

      Contacts at a glance

    3. Make sure your friend hasn't accidentally blocked you from contacting them. The following article will go over the ways you could possibly block a contact, and help them unblock you if they have.

Block phone numbers and contacts or filter messages on your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch

    Happy chatting!
