iOS Apps
Q: Is it possible to use a cellular connection instead of a Wi-fi, while not turning it off or disconnecting from the network ?
The situation is as follows - sometimes I need to print or scan something on my iPad using HP app that connects to a printer/scanner throuhg Wi-fi. However, in some cases these networks do not have access to the Internet or just have very slow connection speeds.
This way I constantly have to turn off and on Wi-fi mode on the tablet. I'd like to know whether it is possible to set a preferred certain connection type, I.e. stay connected to the Wi-fi network but use cellular network to access the Internet.
iPad Pro, iOS 9.3.2

I'm not sure about your particular situation, but maybe WI-FI Assist is an option:
