Hello, I'm using 10.10.1 on a MacBook Pro, and Apple Mail suddenly rejected my Gmail password. My iphone and ipad are still logged in and work perfectly, but my computer won't download new mail. It says "Mail can't connect to the Google account "Gmail". Enter the password for xxxx (my username)."
Can anyone help troubleshoot? It happened overnight, and I had made no changes to Gmail nor my computer.

Delete the password from Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities). While there, Keychain Access menu First Aid.

This seems like it should work if I knew exactly which password to delete. I deleted all the pop gmail passwords and followed the First Aid instructions but no luck.
Weirdly, the problem disappeared for about 24 hours only to reappear again.
Since it worked for 24 hours, you may need to reset the keychain. Note that this will create an empty keychain.
