Q: My new iPhone keeps trying to download a podcast I don't want.

I recently switched to a from a iPhone 5c to an iPhone 6 S Plus. Everything is great except for a weird "glitch" in my podcast app...it won't stop trying to download a specific episode of a podcast.

The problem is, the podcast seems to be dead. The specific episode can't actually download. Every time I go into the app to pick a new episode I get message telling me I have an episode downloading...but it never gets past the waiting stage....so I cancel it...and it pops back up. I've deleted the podcast from my list and canceled the episode dozens of times now.

    Not sure about how to stop something that may be acting like a subscription.

    There are some ideas in this support page, linked, that may be of help:

    • About the Podcasts app - Apple Support

    {It may be that some kind of reset may be helpful, (one that does not wipe it)

    for some issues to be resolved. There is a process; I haven't the link to it.}

    Also the iOS Help app in the device may bring up options, since it can act as

    a search engine of a sort. And if nothing else, try a duckduckgo search since

    it does not track you. At times google will bring up Apple support items better.

    Good luck in any event!
