iMac OS X El Capitan, USB not charging in sleep mode

HI, I'm running OS X El Capitan and I've noticed recently that any device i have attached via a usb connection does not charge when the iMac goes into sleep mode. This was never a promplem before and what ever i have connected would continue charging.

How do i get this back to how it was before?
