Q: Can a user setup any email provider whether it is Google, Yahoo, Hotmail or Microsoft Exchange while on a call or making an outgoing call?

Hello everyone!

 

I am a tech support agent and currently work for the IT Department. Our users are able to setup corporate email on iOS devices.

 

My question is when walking through someone with setup of email can they do this while making a call? I was not able to find anything in the forums but want to know if email setup is better with WiFi or be completely off a call? Please advise on what are the factors or variables to consider when troubleshooting or setting up email and what are the ideal conditions.

Briefly, it all depends on the type of cellular data network.

 

GSM networks allow simultaneous voice and data.  CDMA networks do not.
