Q: How do I get my name to show up as organizer of Family Sharing?

My Apple id is correct - it has my correct first and last name and my correct e-mail address.  Whenever I log into either the icloud or itunes or any other place, it displays correctly, EXCEPT when I go to "Set Up Family".  In this case it displays my sons name and my e-mail address.  He has and uses his own icloud account on his own devices.  Now that I am trying to set up the Family Share, it displays his name and I believe if I send out "invites" to other family members it will appear as if it's coming from him.

    Thank you for using the Apple Support Communities. I know not being able to set yourself as the family organizer for Family Sharing is not what you expect.


    Based on what you stated, it seems that your son may have started the process to start a family group, which makes him the family organizer. He will have to leave that group and you will have to start a new family group as the family organizer with your Apple ID. Here is more info on this process:

    Set up Family Sharing
