cchanged to new Appid on iPhone and iPad but iCloud still shows old I'd- should I also change this and if yes how? Thanks

Did you try to log out of iCloud in Settings/iCloud, restart the phone and sign in again with the new Apple ID?
Hi thanjs but IT only gives me option to log in, when I log in i can see my Appid as primary but the old one is still the one that is used to log in
Scroll to the bottom of that first page where it shows your ID and all the features that are enabled in iCloud, then you will see the option to sign out.
