Q: slow iTunes update download

The latest iTunes update has taken 90 minutes to halfway download. Tested my internet speeds and it appears the problem is on Apple's server.

Restart your Mac then try again.

No server issues according to Apple > https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/
