If I join iTunes Music are my downloads free? Also is there a way to bring my Spotify music into iTunes?

If you mean Apple Music, yes they are free, but you must continue to subscribe to use them.

Don't know anything about Spotify but since it's a subscription service I suspect it must stay within its own environment.
