Cannot Transfer Books to my Mac

I downloaded 4 books to my iPhone using the iTunesU. I can read these books using the iBooks on my iPhone. I tried to transfer these books to my Mac without success. Their covers appear at the iBooks with the cloud at the upper right corner, but when I press the cover to star downloading, the download just don't start. Is there a way to make it work?
