How do I customise the workout app to show me heart rate, distance and calorie status all on the same screen during an indoor workout?

Hi

It is not presently possible to view heart rate, distance and calorie status on the same screen when using the Workout app to record an indoor workout.

The Workout app can presently display two metrics and your goal:

The time metric (upper-right):

  • This can be changed by tapping on it, switching between time of day and elapsed time.
  • For outdoor and indoor running and walking workouts, pace is also available.
  • For outdoor cycling workouts, speed is also available.

The primary metric:

  • This can be changed by swiping sideways on it.
  • Depending upon your activity type, choices may include: elapsed time, active calories, total calories, heart rate, pace, speed and distance.

The goal:

  • The goal can be viewed as a progress ring or, for distance, calories or time goals, as a metric.
  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > Workout > turn on Show Goal Metric.

However, note that watchOS 3 - coming this Autumn / fall - will enable you to view up to 5 workout metrics at once without having to swipe: distance, pace, active calories, heart rate and elapsed time.
