Jul 7, 2016 11:07 AM in response to mpruivoby karffe,I do agree, because i have tried to reinstall google chrome (i only use this one) and then in Preferences i logged out of the Accounts settings, that removed the facebook notification from the Notification center... But after i reinstall all back and logged in that nothing has changed, there is still the same "notification" about fact that you have a new message... But, one week back it was absolutely fine wit the preview of the message, i didnt update anything on my Mac, that must be problem on the facebook side i think...
Why the right and good things are gone?

ApplicationsHi,
I would guess this is an item triggered by the Content info a web page, which in this case is on automatic refresh and that Facebook are the people that changed it.

Jul 15, 2016 11:03 AM in response to karffeby Ralph Johns (UK),Hi,
If it is the web page itself that contains the info that triggers the Notification then it will effect everyone.
I don't use Facebook so I can't help any further.
There are several possible ways to trigger this.
Pages with lots of PHP pull things from "Databases" or text files to insert into a page - you only see the resulting page.
Some pages use javascript which is a separate coding language different and unconnected to Java itself.
It is used here on the Apple Discussion pages to create the Reply box and place repeating elements within the page.
You would have to compare old and new pages at the coding level (or compare to other site that trigger Notifications)

Jul 21, 2016 8:22 AM in response to karffeby melloncollie_vil,Hi, same with me. Here is might be a solution for yall. For messaging you can use Messenger.com website (which is imo way better for chatting). It sends notification with text.
