Q: disk utility, no 35pass erase option?

So, I have a macbook pro, 13 inch, late 2011, and it came with mac os ten lion. I often like to securely erase disks. But for some reason, Apple decided to remove the 35pass option from disk utility. It would be very convenient to have the 35pass option. Is their some way to get this option back in lion? Is their a Version of the disk utility in Snow Leopard that can be installed in mac os ten lion? Or is their something else that can be done to get this option back? I'm blind, so anything suggested must be compatible with voice over. Also, I am not good with the terminal, so I wouldn't be able to use that. If I knew how, I would do a 35pass using diskutil in terminal, so that's not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
