I am trying to install Adobe Creative Suite 2 Premium on my MacBook Pro (OS X El Capitan). When I click on the installer icon, I get the following message: You can’t open the application “Adobe Installer” because PowerPC applications are no longer supported. Is there anything that I can do to fix this problem?

Try installing it while in Safe Mode. Hold the Shift key while restarting.
Either the app itself or the installer (or both) are for PowerPC's; if that is the case, you simply cannot use or install it as Apple did away with PowerPC driven apps when Snow Leopard was discontinued. CS2 was originally introduced for Mac OS 10.2.x and 10.3.x which predated Snow Leopard (10.6) by several years. Snow Leopard included Rosetta which allowed PPC apps to be installed and run, but that was discontinued when Lion was introduced.
Adobe CS 3 is the minimum requirement for any OS X version from Lion to El Capitan.
CS 2 apps are not compatible.
Sorry Eva, I somehow read "Adobe Creative Suite" as "Adobe Creative Cloud". I don't know where my mind is sometimes. babowa and Lanny are correct, you can't install it.
