Q: I've lost control of my Dad's iPad

I look after my elderly father's iPad 2. (So I know how work it, I have a second iPad, the same model, so I can be sure I understand what my father asks me, when he's having trouble working it.) Recently he told me he's having trouble with it, so I asked him what he's doing and then tried the same actions on my iPad - no problems seen :-)

However when I next saw him, I tried logging on to my Apple ID and to my astonishment all the text fields I tried started to complete themselves, without me touching the keyboard. I took it home and now whenever I turn ti on and try to use it, I see a mad dash through the menus and commands - all without me touching a thing!! It's all very worrying - has anyone an explanation??

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)
