Turn on Apple Music Library for iPod Classic?

Just pulled a classic 60 GB iPod out of mothballs, specifically because I want to make sure a large playlist from Apple Music will function in a wilderness environment with no internet access or cell signal.

When I try to sync the playlist, I get this message:

This warning strongly suggests that it's possible to turn Apple Music Library on for this iPod. I'm dubious. But if it IS possible, how and where do I do it? The iPod has current firmware, my Mac OS & iTunes are up to date, but I don't see that option anywhere.
