How to move from iPhoto, while preserving keywords and albums

I'm using iPhoto on OS 10.8 and 10.9, about . It works fine but it looks like I'll need to move off of it for subsequent OS versions. What I need is

- keep the keywords of my current assignments and all other metadata

- keep organization into groups, albums, etc. - keep my original structure

I am not a pro photographer and I use Photoshop as needed, so I do not need extensive image processing capabilities, nor any sharing functions (I don't post to Twitter etc.). What I do need is for it to sync with my iPhone, like it does now, so that selected albums are available on my iOS devices when I sync.

What are my options - what new software can import my existing library and keep everything as-is?
