Jul 4, 2016 7:54 AM in response to marketingeniusby turingtest2,How are you selecting the book to play? If you're playing one item in a list where others are shown then that would seem to be the expected behaviour. You could potentially add to a playlist and play that so when your book is finished there are no other items.

Jul 4, 2016 10:05 AM in response to turingtest2by marketingenius,Hi tt2,
To play the audiobook I go right into the audiobook itself but when it comes to an end, the next audiobook plays.
Playlists might do it but I don't understand why the default is to play every audiobook one after the other? Is there really no way to have a hard stop after each audiobook?

Jul 4, 2016 10:22 AM in response to marketingeniusby turingtest2,I'd have to load up a couple of audiobooks on a nano to test it but I'd expect to be able to drill down via say Author > Book > File(s) and play a single book. Why not set up a sleep timer?

Jul 4, 2016 3:55 PM in response to turingtest2by marketingenius,There is no Book or Author option that I can see. This is how I do it: Audibooks > Audiobook title > Chapter 1 > Play. But it still plays all audiobooks continuously after finishing the current one.
Thanks for the sleep timer suggestion - a good workaround. But is there really no way for audiobooks to stop. Surely by default it should stop? My albums don't continue playing one after the other. So why should audiobooks be any different?

Jul 4, 2016 5:42 PM in response to marketingeniusby turingtest2,Audiobooks play one at a time on my iPhone. I haven't used a non-iOS device for some time but I've just loaded up my wife's nano with three books, two of which are multipart, and I see the same thing you do, just as flat list of tracks that play one after another. See Audiobooks on iPods for my original approach to this issue (and the problem of getting chapters in the right order) nested playlists for authors and books.

Aug 16, 2016 6:04 PM in response to marketingeniusby MinnieMe,Put the audiobooks (or maybe even chapters) into playlists. Make sure it is not set for continous play or it will repeat the playlist
